Have You Botany Plants Lately?

First let me tell you, I have NEVER had a green thumb. I honestly think plants would droop and play dead in my presence so I wouldn't choose them, yikes! However, I am excited and proud to share that I have a secret to share with you! This little secret has turned my thumb green and brought so much happiness, peace and love into my everyday life and our home. Are you ready for me to share? Okay, here we go!

That's it! When you name your plant(s), it solidifies it as a true member of your family. It allows you to take ownership in caring for your green family members for the long-haul.

As soon as I began naming my plants, it quickly became a creative game of finding the perfect name based on the plants characteristics. So fun! I even took it a step further and gave them each their very own bamboo name tag!

Meet My Green Babies

Let me introduce you to a few of my plant babies. I wanted to share a few of them along with their names to help get your creative juices flowing. My hope is that this will not only inspire you to adopt a new green baby, name it and let your green thumb grow!

Lenny is our Lemon Tree. She was named after my beautiful niece Lennon Rose.

Phineas the Fern was inspired by Phineas and Ferb, the cartoon.

Tahiti (Star) is a sansevieria cylindrica, starfish plant, hence her name "star".

And last but not least,

Mini Gaga the Mini Monstera. I wish I could take credit for this one but it was actually Jaime who won the name game for this one! :)

Ready to grow your family but not sure where to start? No worries, I got you!
