Let All That You Do Be Done In Love

Updated: 7 days ago

Hey Lifers!

I wanted to take a quick trip down memory lane and catch y'all up to speed on how becoming a sponsor, for a child in poverty has not only positively impacted her life, but mine as well.

If you have followed me on instagram, you know that a couple of years ago, I committed to becoming a sponsor for a child in Ghana. What began as a monthly contribution of just $38/mo, quickly blossomed into a sweet and beautiful friendship with my child and her family.

Sponsoring this little girl over the course of the past couple years has truly been such a blessing. God sure does work in mysterious ways and as we both know, his timing is impeccable. God brought this sweet soul into my life and she has been such a bright light in the midst of a dark time. While the world has been on lockdown and adjusting to this new norm due to the global pandemic, we have been communicating via letters. These letters have brought a sense of peace to my heart. Just knowing that she is safe, healthy and surviving these uncertain times is a blessing in itself.

Throughout the years, we have managed to exchange letters, send photos and offered one another encouragement in Jesus' name. This has not only brought hope to a little girl and her family, but hope to me and my family as well. I now look forward to not only receiving her letters but, planning and surprising her with a future visit/meeting.

Maybe $38/mo seems like a large amount to commit to at this time. I want you to know that it's okay and nothing to be discouraged about. I spent an entire year praying on this level of commitment prior to beginning my journey as a sponsor.

My goal is to simply share what God has placed on my heart with you. I want to invite you to join me and witness, first-hand, my personal journey in contributing to the releasing of children from poverty. My prayer is that I am able to share, educate and encourage those who have had this mission placed on their hearts. I'd love to become a resource to you and answer any questions you may have. I pray that my posts reach your feed and that you share them with your circle of awesome humans. Together, we will begin a trickle effect to blessing these kiddos with our love, support and compassion for their lives and overall well-being.
